A fantastic antique cabinet. Made from ebonised lacquered wood, with gilt painted details. With exquiste inlaid burr walnut panels. This is an original music cabinet with lower section for storing song sheets. It can be used as a filing cabinet. The glass to the door is original and the shelf edge are ebonised to. This is a stunning period cabinet and typical example designed during the Aesthetic movement and dates from the 1880s. Perfect to add soul and character to a modern interior.
Condition
Areas of missing black ebonised lacquer due to age. fully working key. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
