A fantastic antique folding serving table. With an mechanism by which the legs extend when the brass handles to each side are pushed. Super quality with elegant tapered legs and dating from the early part of the 20th century. With an ivorine plaque to the front stamped 'The Osterley table tray, Bailey's patent'. Also with a label for P&F Schafer Ltd of Golden Square, London. The tray has a clever brass mechanism to release and extend the legs whilst carrying the tray allowing the tray and contents to be placed in the required position.
This metamorphic tray tranforms into a useable table is just brilliant and would have been used  by a butler in a country house. A unique piece perfect to take drinks out to the garden or stage around the home to add soul and character to a modern space.  
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
