A super quality antique Edwardian lawn tennis set featuring exceptional quality heavy net posts. Made around 1910. The company was established as a sporting goods shop in 1881 by Ralph and Albert Slazenger on Cannon Street, London.

The heavy cast iron bases are stamped Slazengers' Ltd Stadium Pole. The pine posts with heavy brass caps are engraved with Slazenger. On the side of one pole a winding mechanism for the net in heavy bronze. Complete with original net and metal stakes along with vintage tennis rackets and balls. There is also the white paint line marker which is untested. The two rackets come with their clamps and one made by Spalding and the other Ashley Cooper. The three tennis balls are marked 'Slazenger 1968'. A wonderful fully complete tennis court set, perfect to use and enjoy this summer!

The heavy cast iron base have some losses - check photos. Wear to net and rackets. Historical signs of woodworm to posts.  Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
