A fantastic antique silver plate butter dish. Fully marked by the maker Hukin & Heath of Birmingham. They were establish in 1855 by Jonathan Wilson Hukin and John Thomas Heath and based in Newall Street and Imperial Works, 139 Great Charles Street, Birmingham. They began there association with Christopher Dresser in 1877. Designs were registered from 1878 to 1881. This stunning piece has a wonderful embossed design of leaf swags with central flowers. Made from silver plate with a central alabaster dish and dates from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. A fabulous period piece perfect to use and enjoy or stage in a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Condition

Small ding to silver plate edge. Chip and nibble to alabaster dish. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
