Antique Rare English 19th Century Cast Iron Bench Heavy Estate 3 Castle Motif | retrovation
top of page

Here for sale is a fantastic decorative heavy cast iron garden bench. Dating, we believe from the early part of the 19th Century this bench has most recently been in the Berry Pomeroy Castle in South Devon. Three very heavy cast iron ends each bearing a stunning triple castle motif and single rose. The heavy planks are stained and have some signs of their age, but the bench is solid. An early cast iron bench with a wonderful design perfect for any outdoor space to add a burst of personality and character.

Condition

The planks have plenty of signs of their age with one of the bolts come loose, but once in place the bench is solid. Areas of missing wood to the planks. Stain has run onto to white paint at the back. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
