A fantastic antique pricture frame. Made from gesso plaster and painted in an original muted gilt gold. It has ornate moulding of flowers and leaves, very much in the Victorian style. There is a an inner banding in the classic egg and dart moulding often seen in cornicing during this period. This is a salvaged frame and has losses and wear as you would expect. The old gold paint has a wonderful tone and hue. A fabulous decorative piece, perfect for a gallery wall or to stage in a modern home to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
lots of loses and areas of missing paint and gesso plaster. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
