A fantastic antique hand truck. This was salvaged from the Building Research Establishment and is stamped BRS for the Building Research Station and DSIR (for department of scientific and industrial research). This group was established in the first world war and during the second world war members including William Glanville were involved in developing and building scale models for the bouncing bombs used in the dambusting raids.
It is a fascinating item of British History and would make a fantastic talking point in any interior. Perfect to incorporate into a modern business or home to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior
