Bringing Ideas to Life

We were asked by Leon Paul to help them with their shop design and installation. Founded over 100 years ago in Covent Garden. Leon Paul Fencing is an Olympic and World Companionship legacy in coaching and equipment.

They wanted to incorporate antiques in to the design to create a unique and striking shop that reflected their rich history and to act as a stunning back drop to showcase the fencing equipment that they still manufacture in London.

But they weren't sure how to incorporate antique fittings whilst still creating a practical retail space. They needed to display the full range of equipment and clothing and also allow the shop team to help customers with highly bespoke products. Antique aesthetics with modern functional retail.

At Retrovation, we proposed to supply the antique furniture along with custom fittings to get the right mix of heritage and practicality. Take a look below at how we used 3D rendering to create a walk through of the space and how this became reality as the project progressed:

As the design progressed we sourced the right antique pieces that fit the brief and updated the virtual design to incorporate the actual antiques that we found. Each piece was rendered in to the 3D walkthrough and custom pieces then designed around them. We then knew that as the custom pieces were manufactured they would fit seamlessly with the antique fittings.

We loved seeing the concept become reality and were delighted by the resulting mix of heritage and practical retail space. We hope you like it too. Please get in touch with your thoughts and if you would like help with your project. Let the magic begin ...
